JE Dunn is a trusted partner with Swedish Medical Center, contributing to the growth and enhancement of their developing healthcare campus. This successful partnership has resulted in numerous successful projects, including renovations, expansions, and intricate mechanical upgrades to ensure seamless operations of the 24/7 hospital facility. The Swedish Medical Center Tower Addition consists of a sizable 145,000 square foot expansion project, unfolding in 2 phases. The 6-story tower extension accommodated 30 additional patient rooms along with 2 floors reserved for future expansion opportunities. Phase II focused on expanding the existing emergency department. Our completed endeavors encompassed vertical expansions, chiller replacements, interior renovations, and the construction of a spacious parking garage.

• Neuro Expansion and Renovation: 35,000 square foot vertical addition of two floors adding 40 patient rooms and an 11th floor penthouse. Also included was the demo of the existing fourth floor patient rooms to house 18 new ICU beds (12,548 square feet), demo of unused space to construct a new 3,000 square foot generator/switch gear room, and infill construction to create 21,000 square feet of office and shell space.
• Chiller Replacement: removal of existing chiller and installation of new 600 ton chiller.
• Interior Renovations: 250,000 square foot, 10-floor renovation including a new ED canopy and MEP upgrades.
• Parking Garage: new 287,100 square foot, 5-story parking structure accommodating 820 cars.
