DFW Public Safety Headquarters

JE Dunn successfully delivered this high-security, two-story, 130,000-square-foot Public Safety Headquarters for DFW Dallas Fort Worth International Airport Department, designed to support multiple user groups, including Police, Fire, Special Services, FBI, and Criminal Investigation. The facility features training rooms, office space, locker rooms, a fitness center, records storage, a crime scene lab, weapons storage, and a cafeteria. Additionally, it includes an apparatus garage for SWAT and specialty vehicles.

The 6,500-square-foot secure detention area is equipped with 12 holding rooms, juvenile holding, intake rooms, and two isolation cells. Built to meet all TCJS requirements, the facility also features a full-service dual-entrance secured Sally Port.

Collaboration with over 90 stakeholders ensured that each department’s unique needs were met while maintaining the original budget. This efficient coordination enabled the team to deliver a guaranteed contract GMP just 10 weeks after receiving the Notice to Proceed.
