2023 community impact year in review

Savannah

The Savannah office had an amazing time giving back this year, continuing to pour into existing community partnerships, while celebrating some new and exciting ones. We kicked off the year by teaming up with Habitat for Humanity, a day of service and team building, but also a great arm workout! One of the highlights was our inaugural “Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day” event, where 24 middle school girls spent the day at our office, engaging in STEM activities and visiting one of our project sites. Employees also participated in the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Georgia’s Houses for Hope Gingerbread House Contest this year, building a house inspired by one of our projects, the Chatham County Courthouse, and raising over $2,500 for the organization. We closed out the year by delivering 18 care packages to cancer patients and their caregivers at the St. Joseph’s/Candler Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion in support of The Sacred Transition’s mission to provide mindful care and support to people living with cancer. It was a fruitful year of giving to the Savannah community, and ensuring we are making an impact beyond our office and jobsites.

“Continuing our rich tradition of giving back and serving others brings great pride. Giving back tangibly demonstrates our values and represents an aspirational standard of what we strive to live by through sharing our success and rewards with others. Service to our fellow men and women is important to a healthy and vibrant community. Our service is delivered through multiple outlets, through our employees, and the many organizations we support with our treasure and personal time. Seeing our people so passionate about service means so much, because this is our JE Dunn values in action.”
