The latest addition to the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus – the Anschutz Health Sciences Building – is designed to reshape the future of health care. Its unique program consolidates myriad formerly dispersed departments into a collaborative hub for genomics-driven translational research, personalized medicine, education, and behavioral health care.
The building’s goal is twofold: to provide a healing environment for patients while also serving as an invigorating workplace for staff and faculty. Its organization supports its multiple users – researchers, faculty and staff, students and patients – by creating distinct department identities connected via communal spaces.
