JE Dunn built a 109,000 SF Cancer Center for the University of Kansas Health System, a world-class academic medical center and destination for complex care and diagnosis, located in Kansas City. The Cancer Center has 100 protected environment healthcare beds within three floors (levels 8, 9 and 10) of Cambridge Tower A. Also included are Level 12 infrastructure improvements for the additional mechanical requirements, including rotating two air handling units and adding two air handling units.
JE Dunn worked closely with the University of Kansas Health System to construct this a unique, innovative and unified space that encompasses all of the care and needs of BMT, Leukemia and HMCT patients, their families and care teams within Cambridge Tower A levels 8, 9 and 10. It also provides impressive, state-of-the-art spaces with a two-story open lobby.
