Public safety facility construction in Central Point, Oregon
Oregon State Police’s Southern Oregon Command Facility spans 50,103 total square-feet, inclusive of a new 25,600 square-foot two-story building addition and a 24,500 square-foot remodel and ME addition. The facility holds a training room, biology lab, trace processing, firearms lab, secure evidence processing, and a forensics lab built to Seismic Category IV essential facility standards. It also features increased cadaver capacity, acoustic-rated installations, complex foundation work, and static-dissipating floor tiles.
Fully operational, ODOT, Police, Dispatch, Medical Examiner, and Fish & Game professionals will be able to work out of the new building. Designed to be a Category 4 Facility, the new in facility Central Point will serve as the primary dispatch and command center for Southern Oregon, enhancing the region’s coordination and emergency response capabilities.
