Project Highlights

Saint David’s Round Rock Medical Center Expansion project is a 58,000 square foot, 2-story Vertical Expansion and a 6,000 square foot 1-story Horizontal Expansion. This included the addition of 36 beds on Level 5, a core and shell on Level 4, with 2 AHU penthouses and 1 elevator machine room penthouse on the roof Level 6 with a fully-equipped intermediate care patient floor boasting 36 beds, alongside a floor reserved for future expansion.

Additionally, a 1-story horizontal expansion to the existing Operating Room suite accommodated four additional ORs, 2 full build out and 2 warm shell for future build out in addition to (4) new PACU bays, enhancing the medical center’s capacity and capabilities.

The facility offers a range of services including advanced cardiac care at Heart Hospital of Austin at St. David’s Round Rock — the first specialized cardiac facility in Williamson County, which offers heart and valve surgery and includes a catheterization and electrophysiology lab, as well as a Hybrid Operating Room (OR) for cardiovascular patients.

Other services include advanced trauma care with a Level II Trauma Center, emergency services in a 24-hour emergency department including a free-standing emergency center in Leander, as well as a dedicated unit for cancer care and inpatient rehabilitation. Additionally, St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center provides neurosurgery, advanced orthopedic and robotic services, among other complex specialties.
