USACE Fort Leonard Wood Hospital Replacement

Project Highlights

JE Dunn, in partnership with RLF Architects, successfully delivered a new healthcare facility at Fort Leonard Wood, replacing one of the oldest military hospitals in the country. Design of the state-of-the-art facility pays homage to the installation’s history while leveraging the site’s rolling terrain to create a welcoming environment with strong visual interest. Modern inpatient and outpatient services equipped with the latest medical technology, combined with intuitive wayfinding and enhanced public spaces, highlight the facility’s commitment to delivering world-class patient care.

Fort Leonard Wood is home to the 102nd Training Division and Missouri’s 35th Engineer Brigade. The completed hospital campus serves approximately 34,000 beneficiaries within a 40-mile radius. The project includes a 235,000-square-foot hospital, a 193,000-square-foot medical clinic, a 20,500-square-foot central utility plant, a five-bay ambulance garage, and supporting facilities.
