Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Office & Laboratory

New Regional Office and Laboratory

Project Highlights

This state-of-the-art, 56,000-square-foot facility represents a vital investment by the State of Minnesota to enhance public safety infrastructure. Designed to meet strict environmental and high-security standards, this regional hub will process an estimated 6,000 cases annually.

Strategically located in east Mankato near the Blue Earth County Justice Center, this facility transforms how justice is served in the region. By providing full-scale testing capabilities locally, the building will significantly reduce evidence transit times and relieve testing backlogs at the Twin Cities metro laboratories, accelerating critical investigations for 43 southern Minnesota counties.
