For the past decade, JE Dunn has provided construction services for Cavern Technologies – recently acquired by LightEdge – located in the Meritex caves in Lenexa, Kansas. Projects include both the initial construction of data center space and facility expansions.
In 2016, we completed Phase 4A Day Two Space including 16,000 SF of whitespace with over 30 feet raised access floor space, contained in a hard-shell structure of masonry walls and 60 feet of solid rock above. A modern and spacious washroom, fully stocked break area, and several meeting spaces are also part of this facility.
In 2019, we completed Phase 4B, a build-out of four large tenant rooms totaling 28,203 SF of white space to the co-location data space.
Security is a top priority, and all access points are controlled with 24/7 client access through manned and key card control. The facility is equipped with a state-of-the-art Network Operations Center (NOC) with 24/7 manned monitoring.
