Heart of America Medical Center

Critical Access Replacement Hospital

Project Highlights

Heart of America Medical Center (HAMC) provides critical medical services to more than 13,000 people within a 50-mile radius of Rugby, North Dakota. A feasibility study deemed the deteriorating building not ideal for renovations. After selecting the project site, JE Dunn built the new 79,000-square-foot critical access hospital. Departments within the hospital include surgery, acute care, emergency, imaging, physical therapy and rehabilitation, long-term care, and a clinic. The facility incorporates 18 long-term care beds, seven acute care beds, and one isolation room.
