Harris County ESD 9 Cy-Fair Fire Stations

Project Highlights

The Harris County ESD 9 Cy-Fair Fire Stations project consists of the construction of four separate, ground-up, Fire Stations for the City of Cy-Fair. They are similar in size with each one averaging roughly 17,000 square feet of space, which is divided into an apparatus bay and living quarters. The living quarters have individual dorm pods with their own washrooms/changing areas that belong to specific crews. Each station is SOG, structural steel, with brick, stone and metal panels as the skin. With the apparatus bay being used for storage and maintenance of fire trucks, included are carbon dioxide sensors that coordinate air evacuation in the bays. Highly technical station alerting systems are being utilized at each Fire Station to help coordinate which dorm pod is sent to an emergency call.
