This project consolidated Creighton University School of Medicine & Hospital and CHI Health Bergan Mercy Medical Center into a single Academic Health System. A total of 390,000 SF was renovated and built over the course of two years—all without reducing the patient census, impacting infection control or affecting the quality of care delivered. JE Dunn created a seven-phase process and split into four contractor teams to complete the project on schedule.
A team approach that stressed planning and transparency was vital to navigating the cultural, logistical and technical challenges this project presented.
