Completed in May 2021, Carson HQ is a six-story office structure. It is joined to a four-story tower by a third building, an amenity hub which houses a café, shared social spaces and a state-of-the-art fitness center. Both buildings use an electrochromic envelope that reduces energy loads and emissions.
Collaboration between the contractor and design team yielded many structural solutions to deliver the “Ascend” architectural vision. Carson HQ features outdoor decks and lounges, a unique sit-stand stairway and a variety of individual and group workspaces for a quality work experience.
The 120,000 square foot Carson HQ building was tailored to fit the company’s positive “work-live-play” culture. Carson is a financial services and wealth management corporation competing globally for top talent. The firm’s clients and partners visit Carson HQ from all over the world.
The adjacent, four-story, 80,000 SF tower was constructed for commercial tenants, including the project’s developer, Goldenrod Companies. While many underlying engineering systems are shared between the two buildings – such as duct sizes and the innovative envelope – other systems were designed and built distinctly to accommodate different occupants.
The second tower includes offices, open work areas, a training room with robust technology infrastructure, and a golf simulator. JE Dunn also moved its Omaha headquarters into the second building.
