ATLANTA, GA – (JUNE 26, 2026)
JE Dunn Construction has selected Shepherd Center’s SHARE Military Initiative as a recipient of a 2026 Cornerstone Grant. Through its annual Cornerstone Campaign, JE Dunn invests more than $1.5 million each year toward employee-selected charitable causes across the country. This effort reflects the company’s long-standing commitment to strengthening the communities where it lives and works.
For 2026, JE Dunn employees chose to support organizations that improve access to healthcare and mental health services for veterans. Teams across the country nominated organizations aligned with this focus. The Community Impact team and national Cornerstone Committee completed a structured selection process.
The SHARE Military Initiative at Shepherd Center provides comprehensive care for service members, veterans, and first responders living with traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and co-occurring post-traumatic stress, or mental health concerns. The program delivers outpatient rehabilitation, mental health services, housing, transition support, community reintegration, and family support at no cost to participants. This grant will support expanded access to treatment and critical services for those navigating the invisible wounds of service.
“On behalf of the SHARE team, I would like to extend my gratitude for the generous support from JE Dunn Construction,” said Michael Yochelson, chief medical officer at Shepherd Center and physician for the SHARE Military Initiative. “It is only with the generosity of donors like JE Dunn Construction that we are able to serve the veterans, military members and first responders who suffer with longstanding symptoms from their TBI. Because of the interdisciplinary team we have that includes physician oversight, we are able to provide a comprehensive, individualized program that is focused on patient-centered goals. Every dollar we receive goes directly to improving the lives of those we serve.”
“Our employees chose to invest in organizations that expand access to healthcare and mental wellbeing resources for veterans. This work helps ensure service members and their families receive the support they need to recover and thrive,” said Stuart Bruening, JE Dunn’s Atlanta Office Leader.
JE Dunn’s Atlanta office presented the grant. The investment reflects the firm’s commitment to local impact and long-term community partnerships.
