At JE Dunn, we believe in serving others and strengthening the communities where we live and work. Our Northern California team partnered with American Legion to provide preliminary design services for a proposed expansion of its Santa Clara post.
The volunteer effort included more than 40 hours of donated design work from JE Dunn’s in-house design team, who developed a concept for a new three-story facility that would expand services and create new opportunities for the veteran community. The design includes retail space, apartment units, offices, meeting rooms, event space, and outdoor gathering areas while preserving an existing Adler tree on the site.
The concept was created to help American Legion generate community interest and pursue future grant funding for the project.
“We are honored to use our in-house design capabilities to support the American Legion and its mission to serve veterans and their families,” said JE Dunn Santa Clara Office Leader, Kyle Boehnelin. “This partnership reflects our commitment to community engagement and aligns closely with the values shared by our Valor employee resource group.”
The effort was led by JE Dunn team members Eric Douville, Evan Fox, and Daniel Shin.
