As construction simultaneously unfolded for the Dell Children’s North Hospital and Medical Office Building, a decision emerged to refine the exterior aesthetics of the building and add a two-story radius glass walkway. This change prompted close collaboration between JE Dunn, HKS and trade partners.
The project’s overall success was aided by the involvement of key trade partners in a design-assist capacity. This allowed for their input on equipment cost and lead times during the design process, and early packages were devised to release critical equipment such as electrical switchgear, to meet the project schedule.
