This 400,000-square-foot new residential window and door manufacturing facility serves as an advanced, model plant for YKK’s AP’s North American operations. YKK AP was one of the first Japanese companies to establish operations in the state of Georgia.
The new plant, located on over 50 acres, expanded YKK AP’s residential manufacturing business with the addition of new machinery and technologies, advanced sustainable manufacturing processes, and additional capacity to meet the market’s strong demand for single and multi-family residential window products.
JE Dunn worked closely with SSOE on this highly collaborative project to deliver the new plant, which also includes 12,000 square feet of office space. The project also includes all required campus infrastructure, roads, parking, truck docks, and other site requirements.
YKK AP’s new plant added nearly 100 new jobs in Macon, where YKK AP’s residential products business has been headquartered since it was established.
