University of Kansas School of Business Capitol Federal Hall

Project Highlights

JE Dunn completed the new School of Business for the University of Kansas that marks the southern gateway entry to campus. The 161,678 SF building is composed of two wings separated by a four-story atrium. The building is clad in limestone colored architectural precast and curtain wall. It features a green roof, over 350-seat auditorium, “grab & go” food service and coffee bar in the central atrium, four tiered classrooms, 15 flat classrooms, colloquium with catering kitchen, computer lab, finance lab, central mail room, interview spaces, conference rooms, break-out spaces, Dean’s Suite and over 200 offices.

The project was under budget, which was a result of JE Dunn being brought in very early in the design phase, allowing early preconstruction estimates to help steer the project team to be within budget.
