Kinnick Stadium North End Zone

Project Highlights

JE Dunn successfully completed the replacement of the north stands at the University of Iowa’s iconic Kinnick Stadium, home of the Hawkeyes. The transformative project involved reconstructing 168,539 square feet, replacing the existing general patron seating bowl with new upper and lower seating bowls and corresponding concourses. Each concourse level features dedicated fan amenities designed to elevate the game-day experience.

A standout feature of the renovation is the enclosed 17,000-square-foot premium club level situated between the two concourses. This spacious area boasts a vibrant atmosphere with large backlit images capturing memorable Hawkeye game-day moments. Premium amenities include private restrooms, high-definition televisions, a private entrance via a newly constructed skywalk, and a versatile commons area ideal for hosting business meetings and special events on non-game days.

The primary goal of the project was to enhance the fan experience while expanding the stadium’s functionality beyond game days, offering a dynamic space for both sports and community engagement.
