In a design-build partnership with Stantec, JE Dunn delivered a 181,000 SF, seven-story building that serves as the first on campus residence hall for first-year students at the University of Colorado Denver. Located on the Auraria Campus in the heart of downtown Denver, City Heights encompasses a 270-unit student housing facility, dining hall, and learning commons that was completed on time for students' arrival in the Fall. The residence hall includes single, double, and triple occupancy units that now houses 555 first-year students. There are mini communities from floor to floor, with the connection of every two floors, containing study spaces, a kitchenette, and state of the art technology resources. The City Heights Residence Hall is pursuing LEED Gold and its most notable sustainability element is the green roof that is home to a honeybee community.
