United Airlines Ground Service Equipment Maintenance Facility

Project Highlights

The new United Airlines GSE Maintenance Facility is designed to centralize and modernize the maintenance operations for United’s extensive fleet of over 1,800 ground service vehicles. This 140,000-square-foot facility will significantly enhance operational efficiency by consolidating all GSE activities into a single, purpose-built location.

The scope includes the complete demolition of the existing facility and the construction of a new, state-of-the-art maintenance complex. The new structure will house a spacious shop area, wash bay, paint booth, battery shop, regular and heavy-duty vehicle lifts, and two pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMBs) dedicated to equipment storage. The building is designed with a steel structural frame clad in insulated metal panels (IMP) and precast concrete skin, offering durability and energy efficiency. Interior finishes will feature polished concrete and epoxy flooring to support heavy-duty operational needs.

This facility is engineered to accommodate a broad range of technical maintenance activities, including battery replacements, metal fabrication, and electronic control diagnostics.
