UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies

Project Highlights

JE Dunn Construction was selected as the Construction Manager/General Contractor for the construction of a new world class tertiary hospital with entities including: Level II Trauma Center, ER & Cardiac Heart Center, ICCU/SNICU units, Telemetry unit, Surgical Services/OR, Cardio Cath Lab and all the support spaces needed to accommodate a 136-bed facility. The hospital features state-of-the-art technology including robotic-assisted surgical arms, electronic health records system, and advanced in-room telecommunications.

This 6-story, 598,000 square-foot state-of-the-art hospital serves patients from northeastern Colorado, Wyoming, and western Nebraska. The architect designed the structure to be constructed of brick, native sandstone and other materials and to have an open fresh feel and look. Materials include smooth non-reflective metal panel system that will accent the building’s vertical forms. Nearly all patients have a view of either the mountains or the various courtyards surrounding the facilities. This promotes the healing environment and aids in each patient’s well-being.
