The Terminal Expansion at Norfolk International Airport (ORF) enhances the departure experience through a reimagined check-in and security environment. Within the Departures Terminal, the project introduces floor-to-ceiling windows, expanded counter space, and significantly increased queuing capacity, creating a more open and efficient first point of arrival for travelers.
A new consolidated security checkpoint serves both Concourses A and B, enabling free post-security movement between concourses. The Main Lobby’s signature atrium ceiling remains a defining architectural feature and is complemented by a large-scale digital display wall that anchors the refreshed space.
The Terminal Expansion also includes upgraded baggage handling systems and supporting infrastructure. Together, these improvements create a smoother, more connected travel experience while positioning the airport for future growth.
