Lumpkin County Replacement Hospital

Northeast Georgia Health System

Project Highlights

Constructed on a 53-acre site with planned space for future expansion, JE Dunn built a 60,000-square-foot replacement hospital located along the Gateway Corridor near the intersection of Georgia 400 and Highway 60. This facility represents a significant advancement for rural healthcare in the area, providing reliable local medical services. The project’s scope included initial demolition, installation of site utilities and stormwater lines, comprehensive site improvements, and adjustments to access drives from Georgia State Route 400.

Key features of the hospital include 16 private inpatient rooms, 10 advanced emergency treatment rooms with a dedicated fast-track area and separate entrance, four observation rooms, three state-of-the-art operating rooms, and a procedural suite supporting various medical services, including orthopedic, gynecologic, and general surgery, with options for minimally invasive techniques. The hospital also provides on-site imaging, laboratory, and pharmacy support, and includes a café and dining area.
