The Austin Convention Center Redevelopment is set to transform downtown Austin with a state-of-the-art facility designed for both visitors and the local community.
The new convention center rentable spaces will include 336,000 square feet of exhibition halls, 92,000 square feet of flex halls, 47,000 square feet of ballrooms, and 75,000 square feet of meeting spaces. Outdoor areas will include balconies, terraces, and outdoor event spaces that will be open to the public, totaling 70,000 square feet.
Located at 500 East Cesar Chavez Street, the project begins with the demolition of the existing center, followed by excavation of 1 million cubic yards of earth and rock and finally vertical construction.
