The West Gate project will add approximately 50,000 square feet of new space for passengers, featuring four additional gates with generous hold room areas designed for comfort. Nearly 4,000 square feet is dedicated to expanded dining, retail, and concession options, along with upgraded amenities aimed at improving the overall travel experience.
Beyond passenger-focused improvements, the expansion includes 23,000 square feet of advanced operational space and will support international arrivals. The new gates will be directly linked to Charleston International Airport’s federal inspection station, enabling efficient processing of inbound international flights.
