Dallas Nonprofit Receives $125,000 Donation from JE Dunn Construction

June 26, 2026

GallantFew will use the grant to expand healthcare and mental health access for Veterans.

DALLAS — (June 11, 2026)

GallantFew, a Dallas/Fort Worth nonprofit, received a $125,000 grant from JE Dunn Construction on June 9, 2026.

The organization is an Army Ranger-led active duty and veteran military support organization founded in 2010 by Ranger Karl Monger to assist members of the Ranger community in reintegrating from active-duty service to the civilian world.

“This incredible generosity from JE Dunn Construction directly accelerates our mission to help veterans successfully transition to lives filled with hope and purpose,” said Karl Monger, Founder and Clinical Director of GallantFew. “Our focus this year is on removing barriers to care. This grant allows us to dismantle the financial, geographic, and clinical hurdles that stand between our nation’s heroes and the high-quality, trauma-informed mental health support they deserve.”

GallantFew will use the Cornerstone Campaign funds to expand their veteran mental health (VMH) program, ensuring veterans receive high-quality, trauma-informed mental health care at no cost. This includes supporting licensed clinical providers, increasing counseling capacity, and maintaining secure virtual platforms to reach veterans who may face geographic, transportation, or scheduling barriers.

Funds will also cover specialized therapeutic tools such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), along with essential equipment and supplies needed to deliver effective care. Additionally, funding will allow GallantFew to expand services to include the Denton County Veterans Treatment Court, building on an existing model in Tarrant County where approximately 25% of current counseling clients are referred through the court system.

The grant was given as part of JE Dunn’s annual Cornerstone Campaign, which builds on the company’s 100-year legacy of giving back by investing more than $1.5 million per year toward an employee-selected charitable cause through intentional donations across the communities we serve.

Employees nationwide nominated organizations within the cause area, which were then vetted by the Community Impact team and a national Cornerstone Committee through an invitation-only grant process.

“It’s our honor to carry forward our founder’s legacy of doing the right thing and serving others through this employee-driven philanthropic strategy,” said Nancy Phelps, JE Dunn Community Impact Director. “This year, our employees chose to invest in organizations that expand access to healthcare and mental well-being resources for veterans. We can’t think of a more meaningful way to thank those who protect where we live, work, and build than by helping ensure veterans and their families have the support they need to thrive at home.”

The grant was presented by representatives of JE Dunn’s Dallas office, highlighting the company’s commitment to investing in the local communities where its employees live and work.
