City of Salem Police Station

Project Highlights

The Salem Police Department had outgrown their space inside City Hall where they had been located for nearly 50 years. JE Dunn, along with DLR Group and local architecture firm CB Two, worked with the City of Salem and Police Department to create a new facility to bring together units and departments that were split between City Hall and off-site leased spaces. The new police station includes evidence storage, a crime lab, training spaces as well as the City of Salem Emergency Operations Center. The 104,000 SF building also includes a community meeting room, public lobby area, and outdoor plaza— balancing an inviting, civic building while maintaining secure facilities for police operations. The adjacent 77,000 SF parking garage includes secure parking for 250 vehicles. The new consolidated police station unites all police units and departments under one roof in a safe, welcoming building for both staff and the public.
