Houston Nonprofit Receives $25,000 Donation from JE Dunn Construction

June 26, 2026

PTSD Foundation of America will use the grant to expand healthcare and mental health access for Veterans.

HOUSTON — (June 11, 2026)

PTSD Foundation of America received a $25,000 grant from JE Dunn Construction on June 10, 2026.

Founded in 2005, the foundation exists to bring hope and healing to Veterans and their families suffering from the effects of combat-related post-traumatic stress.

PTSD Foundation of America will use the grant funds to support the expansion and delivery of their Aftercare Program services, which provides critical continuity of care for Veterans throughout and following completion of the Camp Hope peer-mentor program.

“This generous investment from JE Dunn Construction will help us strengthen the long-term support systems our Veterans depend on after completing the Camp Hope program,” said Chris Knight, President of the PTSD Foundation of America. “Healing from the invisible wounds of war does not end when a Veteran leaves our campus. Through our Aftercare Program, we continue walking alongside these men and their families as they rebuild their lives, restore relationships, and move forward with hope. We are deeply grateful to JE Dunn for recognizing the importance of sustained mental health support for our nation’s Veterans.”

The grant was given as part of JE Dunn’s annual Cornerstone Campaign, which builds on the company’s 100-year legacy of giving back by investing more than $1.5 million per year toward an employee-selected charitable cause through intentional donations across the communities where we live, work, and build.

Employees nationwide nominated organizations within the cause area, which were then vetted by the Community Impact team and a national Cornerstone Committee through an invitation-only grant process.

“It’s our honor to carry forward our founder’s legacy of doing the right thing and serving others through this employee-driven philanthropic strategy,” said Nancy Phelps, JE Dunn Community Impact Director. “This year, our employees chose to invest in organizations that expand access to healthcare and mental well-being resources for Veterans. We can’t think of a more meaningful way to thank those who protect where we live, work, and build than by helping ensure Veterans and their families have the support they need to thrive at home.”

The grant was presented by representatives of JE Dunn’s Houston office, highlighting the company’s commitment to investing in the local communities where its employees live and work.
