OKLAHOMA CITY — (June 2, 2026)
Honoring America’s Warriors received a $25,000 grant from JE Dunn Construction on May 29, 2026.
Established in 2014, the Oklahoma City-based organization is dedicated to supporting veterans’ physical health, mental health, and wellness.
“The funding JE Dunn Construction has provided us covers the cost of veterinary services and RX for 40 dogs for 12 months.” said Executive Director Scotty Deatherage. “We have made some new friends with the JE Dunn OKC office, and we will be doing some fun activity with the employees going forward.”
Honoring America’s Warriors assists veterans’ families with a full funeral detail or augmented service. The group also provides service dogs and training, at no cost, for disabled veterans who cope with anxiety or depression that could lead to veteran suicide.
The grant was given as part of JE Dunn’s annual Cornerstone Campaign, which builds on the company’s 100-year legacy of giving back by investing more than $1.5 million per year toward an employee-selected charitable cause through intentional donations across the country. Honoring America’s Warriors was nominated for the Cornerstone Campaign by JE Dunn employees who live and work in Oklahoma City.
“It’s our honor to carry forward our founder’s legacy of doing the right thing and serving others through this employee-driven philanthropic strategy,” said Nancy Phelps, JE Dunn Community Impact Director. “This year, our employees chose to invest in organizations that expand access to healthcare and mental well-being resources for veterans. We can’t think of a more meaningful way to thank those who protect where we live, work, and build than by helping ensure veterans and their families have the support they need to thrive at home.”
