Confidential Data Center Substation

Project Highlights

Construction on the third and fourth substation for the client’s second data center campus in the Omaha Metro. Both substations included two 345kV circuits feeding group operated air break (GOAB) switch mounted on A-frame dead-end structures each. 2000A 362kV high voltage circuit breakers feeding owner furnished 143MVA, 345/13.8kV Siemens transformers. Overhead distribution to (12) individually mounted 3000A, 15kV medium voltage circuit breakers connected to an outdoor control enclosure with SEL Relays (Hardwired).

The fifth substation on the data center campus located also included two 345kV circuits feeding group operated air break (GOAB) switch mounted on A-frame dead-end structures. 2000A 362kV high voltage circuit breakers feeding owner furnished 143MVA, 345/13.8kV Siemens transformers. Overhead distribution to (12) individually mounted 3000A, 15kV medium voltage circuit breakers connected to an outdoor control enclosure with SEL Relays (Hardwired).
JE Dunn is currently in the preconstruction phrase for a sixth substation on the client’s campus. It also includes two 345kV circuits feeding group operated air break (GOAB) switch mounted on A-frame flying tap structures. 2000A 161kV high voltage circuit breakers feeding owner furnished 143MVA, 345/13.8kV Siemens transformers. Overhead distribution to (12) individually mounted 3000A, 15kV medium voltage circuit breakers connected to an outdoor control enclosure with SEL Relays (TiDL).
