Safety is at the forefront of our culture. Employees and trade partners are empowered with the training to recognize hazards, tools to report outcomes, and permission to hold each other accountable.  

JE Dunn promotes and adheres to all regulatory Environmental, Safety and Health policies and procedures. Our objective is to provide the best service while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. 

Safety culture training program:

  • Supervisor Training in Accountability and Recognition Techniques (START): Explains why safety accountability works, how a positive safety culture impacts the bottom line and what supervisors can do to inspire strong performance. 
  • Safety Culture Excellence Workshop (SCEW): Fosters understanding of why incidents happen, the essential criteria for a culture of safety excellence and the mechanics of an accountability-based management system. 
  • Speak Up!/Listen Up! (SULU): Gives employees simple tools and a practical process for delivering and receiving safety-related feedback effectively. 
  • Frontline Supervision Training: Provides aspiring frontline leaders entry-level management skills to help lead construction activities.  
  • OSHA 30: Learn tools to keep construction site safe and secure by teaching users how to build a safety culture and reduce jobsite accidents. Also provides overview of OSHA best practices and standards for construction.  
  • Silica Awareness: Covers the risks of respirable crystalline silica exposure, long-term complications, safe work practices, and protective equipment to prevent harmful exposures.   
  • First Aid/CPR: Teaches skills and responses in life-threatening situations such as cardiac arrest, drowning, or severe injuries and the importance of fast response time.  
Meet Our People

National Leadership

James Robles serves as National Safety Director, bringing more than 20 years of expertise in health and safety operations. He provides strategic leadership for the development and execution of corporate safety programs, ensures compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards, and directs initiatives focused on incident prevention and risk management. James also leads a large and diverse team of safety professionals, enabling JE Dunn Construction to leverage a wide range of subject matter experts across all types of construction.

He holds multiple professional credentials from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, including Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), and Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS),Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) In addition to many more specialized industry certifications and trainings as he believes that safety education is key component to achieving a safe culture.
