JE Dunn recently completed its second project with Southeast Toyota Distributors, following the successful delivery of a 300-acre, 12-building processing center in Commerce, Georgia. That facility set a precedent for efficiency and associate engagement by incorporating employee feedback into its design—an approach that continued with the new JAXPORT processing center.
Located on 88 acres at the Port of Jacksonville, the JAXPORT facility spans nine buildings totaling more than 380,000 square feet. At its core is the 272,000-square-foot Accessory Installation Building, which houses vehicle processing operations and includes 30,000 square feet of raised office and amenity space offering a 180-degree view of the processing floor. The facility is designed to handle approximately 4,000 vehicles per week and provides workspace for about 300 employees.
Associate experience was a key priority throughout project planning and was accounted for in all decisions. The campus features 25,000 square feet dedicated to amenities such as a fitness center, cafeteria, outdoor gathering areas, locker rooms, and training spaces. These elements reflect Southeast Toyota Distributors’ commitment to creating a modern, collaborative environment for its workforce.
Southeast Toyota Distributors has operated at the Port of Jacksonville since 1968 and played a pivotal role in expanding Toyota’s presence in the United States. Today, it remains the world’s largest independent distributor of Toyota and Lexus vehicles. The completion of this new processing center strengthens that legacy while contributing nearly 1,000 jobs to the local community.
