Christopher S. Bond US Federal Courthouse

Project Highlights

The 118,294 square-foot U.S. Courthouse included four courtrooms, five judges’ chambers, and dedicated U.S. Marshals Service space with associated prisoner‑movement areas. Additional tenant spaces were provided for the District Clerk’s Office, Grand Jury, U.S. Attorney’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, and GSA. There were four courtrooms in total—two district courtrooms and two magistrate courtrooms. The district courtrooms were equipped with projection screens and ceiling‑mounted projectors for visual presentations. All courtrooms featured sophisticated audiovisual (A/V) and lighting control systems. The A/V systems included monitors at the jury box, attorneys’ tables, and clerks’ stations for evidence and document review, along with hearing‑assistance headphones and related technology. The court reporter’s table included a touchscreen interface for controlling lighting, A/V, roller shades, security cameras, and additional courtroom systems.
