There are no shortcuts when it comes to quality. JE Dunn Construction’s commitment to doing the right thing is what has led us to outbuild and outlast many other enterprises in the industry.
This week, we recognize Quality Week as a reminder of that same commitment made 100 years ago when our company was founded. Quality Week serves as an intentional time each year to reflect on how far we’ve come and where we are now. We formally established our Quality Department in 1972, and since then the department has grown from one employee to a robust team of more than 50 construction experts. Our team tailors Project Specific Quality Plans to meet the needs of every project we take on and every partner we work with. With this growth, we first celebrated Quality Week in 2021 with a focus on “Build It Right, Build It Once.” This theme has echoed into our work to infuse lean methods into everything we do to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and build trust among our teams so our partners and stakeholders can expect quality and certain outcomes based on the plans we create and execute together.
During JE Dunn’s centennial year, however, these reflections on our history, our values, and our goals for continuous improvement and excellence are even more crucial as we envision what our next 100 years shaping communities will look like. That’s why we chose “100 Years of Doing the Right Thing” as our theme for Quality Week 2024, inspiring us to think about how we can continue improving the processes we follow and strengthening relationships we rely on across the country. We believe it’s our resolute responsibility to lead with intention and authenticity, and our focus on quality this week and every week. And as we celebrate this milestone year, we thank clients, design partners, and talented trade partners across the country for entrusting us with that pledge.
