Every year, WIC Week honors the women who help move our industry forward. It feels especially meaningful this year for JE Dunn because we’re also celebrating 10 years of Moment Connection, our first Employee Resource Group (ERG).
In construction, we know that strength doesn’t come from one single beam or component. It comes from how everything is connected: structural supports and anchor points, where members come together and support one another. That idea is at the heart of our ERG dedicated to connecting and supporting our female employees and their allies.
When Moment Connection launched a decade ago, it was a big step for our company, proving that we were and are intentional about creating space for our employees to bring their whole, authentic selves to work. Over the years, Moment Connection has done exactly that — built relationships nationwide, strengthened sense of belonging, and helped shape the ERGs and culture we have today.
WIC Week is another reminder of not only how far we’ve come, but also how important it is to keep reimagining. Construction has always been about problem-solving and teamwork. Women across JE Dunn demonstrate that every day — on jobsites and in offices across the country. They’re shaping skylines, but they’re also building strong teams and authentic partnerships, and momentum for the future of our industry.
I’m incredibly proud of the women who work at JE Dunn and the paths they’ve carved here. During WIC Week, I encourage you to take a moment to recognize the women around you. Thank them. Share their stories. Celebrate their contributions and their diverse perspectives. Construction is stronger when more voices and perspectives are at the table, and JE Dunn is committed to creating opportunities where all of us can learn, lead, and make a real impact.
