We are Building Authentic Partnerships
JE Dunn is an employee-owned construction company with offices in 26 locations across 17 states. We are a leading provider of construction management services, design-build, and client-centered project delivery.
Founded in 1924, our legacy and success rely on the strength of our people, our culture, and our unwavering commitment to safety and excellence.
At JE Dunn, people come first. As an employee-owned construction company, we’ve spent more than 100 years creating a culture of inclusion and belonging. Our success is powered by our people and our shared commitment to doing the right thing, giving back, and building authentic partnerships in the communities where we live and work.
Our guiding principles shape how we do business, the markets we serve, and the way we support our employees, clients, and communities. They’re at the heart of everything we do.
The positive impact of ‘belonging’ in the workplace is undeniable. It’s good for everyone. JE Dunn is committed to creating an inclusive space for all, supported by programs and initiatives like:
Our people-first approach grows the next generation of builders in the workforce, empowers our workplace, and cultivates relationships in the marketplace, delivering innovative solutions and lasting impact for our clients and communities.
Our long-term success depends on attracting, retaining, and developing the best talent in the industry. As employee-owners, we know our collective strength comes from investing in people.
We are committed to building a workforce that reflects the communities we serve. We nurture talent through mentorship, education, and hands-on opportunities that open doors to careers in construction. From students to those launching their early careers, we believe there’s a place for everyone in our industry.
We are working to grow the next generation of builders with programs like Building the Future, a K-12 construction education initiative that provides hands-on experience and explores careers in construction.
No matter where you are on your journey, JE Dunn wants to help you build your future in construction.
Building an inclusive workforce means more than simply recruiting top talent – it means mentoring the next generation of builders.
Geared toward construction and engineering students, JE Dunn’s National Diversity Scholarship supports our three-pillar strategy for diversity and inclusion: workforce, workplace, and marketplace.
This $5,000 scholarship is paid over two years and is awarded to 11 students each year.
Building a sense of belonging at JE Dunn means establishing a culture where employees have opportunities for both personal and professional growth. From our learning and development team to Employee Resource Groups, we support our people on their journey as they build meaningful careers in the construction industry.
Our culture has consistently earned recognition on “Best Place to Work” lists nationwide, and we are proud to be nationally recognized as a U.S. Best Managed Company. Just as important, our feedback-rich environment has resulted in outstanding eNPS scores, reflecting the pride and connection our employees feel as part of JE Dunn.
We want our people to come to work energized by the teams they collaborate with and inspired by the projects they bring to life — supported by robust benefits and a workplace where they truly belong. To fuel our growth, we are committed to being an attractive place to work for everyone, no matter their background. Creating a culture of belonging is essential and something we strive for each and every day.
We are committed to building authentic partnerships with clients, trade partners, and community organizations. By expanding our reach, empowering others, and seeking innovative solutions, we enrich lives and deliver better outcomes across the places we live, work, and build. Through intentional community engagement and a focus on lasting impact, we strengthen relationships with trade partners and our communities, investing in shared growth and delivering exceptional results through collaboration and innovation.
That same commitment extends to our people. By welcoming individuals with diverse backgrounds and perspectives, we build an inclusive workplace where every voice matters. These unique experiences and ideas make us stronger, fuel innovation, and ensure we deliver meaningful results together.
At JE Dunn, we believe lasting impact comes through partnerships. We are committed to advancing inclusion and belonging – not only within our company but across the communities we serve.
To support that commitment, we created the Marketplace Contractor Development (MCD) program, a formal education initiative designed to empower small and emerging businesses with the tools to succeed in construction.
This free, eight-month program blends training in bidding, leadership, estimating, and more with mentorship and relationship-building opportunities. Participants are selected through an application and interview process. Graduates join JE Dunn’s network of approved contractors, gaining eligibility to be invited to bid on projects.
