Through a national medical MATOC, JE Dunn constructed a 144,966-square-foot medical realignment project at Eglin Air Force Base. This project consisted of realigning the entire 96th Medical Group campus to accommodate mission growth in support of the enrollment target of 50,000 patients. This project will increased customer satisfaction, improved the efficiency of healthcare delivery, and promoted the long-term goal of integrated VA/DoD healthcare delivery. The old existing Emergency Department was functionally outdated. The major functional upgrade and exterior aesthetic make-over increased the Hospital's appearance.
The project added new services including a CT/PET, Interventional Radiology, Pain Management Clinic, and Outpatient Dialysis. This project also included construction of an all-new Flight Medicine and Public Health facility on the hospital campus, which created further room for growth.
