This extensive renovation project consisted of a complete interior demolish and build-back of the 1st floor on the east wing of the Rice M.D Anderson Biological Teaching Laboratories. The project was approximately 8,669 SF with 5 new teaching laboratories and an exterior storefront system on the south side. The teaching labs are complete with fume hoods, gas, and air. All labs were designed with an industrial concept of exposed ceilings and ductwork. Labs are located on the first floor and include wet lab spaces, a dark room, overhead service grid, AV equipment, some refurbished exterior storefront and casework. This project created a showcase of undergraduate labs for prospective students when they visit the campus.
