This project is a comprehensive, phased gut and remodel of the existing kitchen facilities. Despite the extensive construction, the kitchen remained operational throughout the project, ensuring uninterrupted service. The renovation was meticulously planned and executed in six phases over 18 months, allowing the kitchen staff to continue serving over 900 meals daily to the hospital’s patients and staff.
The project’s location on the second floor presented unique challenges, with operating rooms directly above on the third floor and the main lobby and C-Suite offices below on the first floor. To minimize disruptions, a significant amount of work was conducted during off-hours. This careful coordination and planning were essential to maintaining the hospital’s operations while achieving a successful renovation.
