This project includes over 15,000 SF of new lab space and a remodel to the existing building adding 6,000 SF of office space and extensive mechanical work. This new facility houses administrative/office spaces and research laboratories for the Animal Health, Inspection and Consumer Service Division, Biochemistry, and Metrology Divisions for the Colorado Department of Agriculture. The Animal Health Lab tests animal samples while the Biochemistry Lab researches microbiology through the testing of feed fertilizer and pesticide. A special overhead crane was installed in the temperature and humility controlled Metrology Lab.
