Sara Lee’s lunch meat processing facility in Kansas City, Kansas is deemed as the most sophisticated sliced meat facility in the world. JE Dunn was called upon to deliver super flat concrete for the facility to accommodate their high-tech, automated equipment. JE Dunn poured over 158,000 square feet of new concrete SOG inside an existing facility and an additional 6,700 linear feet of architectural curb bumper walls. Special hardener was used for the floors with dry shake and liquids. Over 100 SOG pours to accommodate tolerance was required and all floors slope to drains. JE Dunn used screed rails in almost every pour to ensure flatness and levelness requirements.
