The North Education Center is custom-designed to meet the educational needs of ‘at-risk’ students from 12 school districts. The new facility serves between 400 children, students, and young adults.
JE Dunn constructed the project in two phases: Removing the existing building and utilities, and preparing a building pad during phase one and remaining site work and building the facility in phase two.
The project features numerous energy efficient strategies, including a chilled beam system to heat and cool the entire building by ground water, with a geothermal field of over 200 wells. The MEP systems design results in enhanced energy efficiency and lower operating costs.
