JE Dunn completed additions and renovations to Bradwell Institute over the course of the previous two summers, delivering both phases in time for school to begin on two separate occasions.
During Phase I, JE Dunn completed a 14,000-square-foot renovation, including a replacement of the existing mechanical system, classroom renovations, new IT/AV infrastructure, all new electrical panels and devices, and office space renovations. Once the project started, a renovation to the existing restrooms, including all new plumbing and sanitary sewer lines, was added to the scope. The project was completed one day ahead of the scheduled completion rate.
Phase II, completed during the summer of 2012, included renovation of approximately 50,000 square feet of existing classroom space to new science labs complete with underground utilities to new science casework. New structural elements were added to the existing building to support the new classroom layout. The project also included installation of a new chiller system, new domestic and fire supply lines, new domestic water lines and relocation of an existing transformer and emergency generator to the new mechanical yard.
