JE Dunn completed a 60,000-square-foot total renovation and expansion to the Georgia Power Environmental Lab. The lab itself is used as a testing facility for energy research for Georgia Power and supports Georgia power plants throughout the Southeast. The facility’s HVAC system features a new, 100 percent outside air ERU and air cooled chiller. Additionally, the stainless steel fume hood exhaust includes phoenix air valves to control room pressurization and redundant strobic fans for centralized exhaust. In pursuit of JE Dunn’s commitment to sustainability, the project team also installed two rain harvesting systems: one for grey water and one for irrigation.
