This new dorm for East Texas Baptist University, now the largest on campus, is a 123,500-square-foot, four-story student living and learning residential hall. Centennial Hall includes 84 suite-style, four-bedroom units with two full baths and 26 one-bedroom units with one full bath. The dorm also includes two three-bedroom faculty units that include kitchens and laundry rooms. It is finished with custom carpet, granite and locally made cabinetry. The highlight of Centennial Hall is the three-story central area, which includes a grand entry with a custom staircase, large study rooms, staff offices, laundry rooms, student lounges, and two large game rooms.
The façade of the structure is comprised of custom brick designed for Centennial Hall with cast stone accents and banding. The courtyard, which sits in the center of this U-shaped structure, is filled with retaining walls that create multi-level seating. This central location also consists of crushed granite and paved stone seating areas covered with a custom oak trellis. The site is highlighted with native landscaping including a sand volleyball court for the students.
