Cavern Technologies, a leading Midwest provider of data center solutions, is pleased to announce it will celebrate the opening of its new 40,000 sq. ft. purpose-built, state-of-the-art data center with a ribbon cutting ceremony and official grand opening celebration on September 12, 2019 at 4:00 p.m.
Guests will include Cavern customers, project partners, industry leaders and community dignitaries, including Blake Schreck, Lenexa Chamber of Commerce President & Economic Development Director. The event will be a celebration of business development for the City of Lenexa and technological innovation in the Kansas City region.
“This expansion further positions Cavern as a strategic ‘next generation’ data center, combining secure, customized colocation and hybrid IT solutions for our enterprise customers,” says John Clune, CEO of Cavern Technologies.
The completed expansion marks a pivotal phase of growth for the Lenexa-based data center, as the company partners with cutting-edge enterprise clients to combine colocation, connectivity and cloud solutions into a reliable, seamless and secure hybrid IT infrastructure.
“We continue to build on our ongoing commitment to operational excellence by providing best-in-class data center solutions for our customers,” says Sean Khurana, the company’s President and COO. “This physical expansion gives clients access to customized, energy-efficient, private data center suites to support their mission-critical businesses, while we provide them the flexibility and efficiency of an ecosystem of partners that they can utilize to harness the full potential of the cloud.”
Cavern’s physical data center is located 125 feet underground in an engineered facility with unmatched protection from natural disasters and extreme weather conditions. It is the only true underground hosting facility in the region that offers fully redundant, disaster-proof data center space. The company’s commitment to operational excellence means it often exceeds the compliance requirements for industry regulations, security standards and certifications. The Cavern team takes particular pride in achieving 100% uptime for its clients for the last 12 years — yet another reason it attracts large enterprise clients in data-sensitive industries like financial services, health care and technology.
The new data center expansion was completed by long-standing infrastructure partners, architect Bell/Knott & Associates and JE Dunn Construction.
